Diamond Hard Tears

Subway Slim begins by telling us how he came to die.

A café in Copenhagen; a woman who seems to have been waiting for him. For two years he believes he has found the other half of himself. Then she fades, as a dream fades on waking, and leaves only the questions. His grief takes him north, into the Swedish forests on Midsummer’s Eve, when the veil is at its thinnest and what was hidden is briefly allowed to show itself. He learns who she was, or who she seemed to be. And he finds a single tear, hard as diamond: proof of something he can no longer return from. Book I of four, on Kindle.
